Question FAQs

Q: Who are Expert Answers?

 A:
Expert answers was founded by two UK solicitors and an ecommerce consultant. All the founders felt there was an easier way to deliver legal answers to legal questions at a cost effective price to those who did not qualify for legal aid and those who can afford to pay high street prices for legal advice.

Q: Where are Expert Answers based?

A: Expert Answers is a UK based company registered in England & Wales, whose registered office is in Cheshire. There are other question and answer sites on the internet, before parting with your hard earned money ensure you know where they are based.

Q: Who really answers my questions?

A: Your questions will be answered by experts qualified in their particular field. All experts on Expert Answers credentials are verified by us once we are confident they have the skills required then and only then will they be allowed to answer questions on Expert Answers. Unlike the free question and answer sites where question will be answered by either unqualified or teenagers answering from a script. Expert Answers has only qualified experts.

Q: How do I know the answer given by an Expert is correct?

A: To many questions there is often not a black and white answer. Expert's opinions often vary. If you wish to have a wide range of answers then simply ask the question again, but asking for a different opinion from a different Expert. Bear in mind that the two opinions may be the same. Even if opinions are the same, Experts may have different ways with dealing with the particular problem. If both answers are different, please accept one. If the same, please accept either or both.

Q: Do I have to pay money before I get an answer?

A: You decide how much you wish to pay for an answer. You then make a 'good faith' payment. Your payment is held in a PayPal account and is only paid to Expert Answers once you have accepted the full answer from one of our experts. If you do not accept the full answer you can request your payment is refunded in full.

Q: How long will it take for me to get an answer?

A: Sometimes answers come back within minutes if an Expert with the knowledge you are looking for happens to be online when you post your question. We aim to have all questions answered within two to three hours and in any event within twenty four hours at the latest. Like good food, an Expert Answer takes some time to prepare.

Q How do I place a value on my question?

A: The higher you value the Expert's answer, generally the longer answer you will get and the faster will be the response. When you choose your value please bear in mind that you are paying for the Expert's time and professional expertise. There is often a large element of thinking and research before they are able to provide an answer. Questions that are valued too low may not be answered or will not be given priority so think carefully when valuing the answer to your question and think what the answer may be worth to you and how much money you are saving by using Expert Answers. If you have a Million Pound question then surely the answer is more valuable.

Q: How are your experts paid?

 A:
Our experts are paid only if you have accepted their full answer.

Q: Why are there only legal experts on Expert Answers?

A: We will add additional categories as and when we find suitably qualified experts. We are currently recruiting experts in the following areas:
Motor Vehicles, Relationships, Medical, Astrology, Vets, Buildings & Planning...and many more

Q: How secure is my information?

A: Expert Answers complies with all 8 principles of the Data Protection Act. Any information supplied will be handled with care and the highest levels of security. Your personal data will be stored in the UK. Any information supplied by you will only be used to administer your relationship with Expert Answers. We do not sell or trade data with any third parties without your consent unless you ask us to. Experts don't know who you are and you don't know who they are. The whole service is totally confidential.
